D. Marie began her quest in the beauty industry in 1990. With an interest in nail artistry, D. Marie began practicing on her friends using an old sewing table as a nail table. By 1993 D. Marie was doing nails in a hair salon. A year later she began working in Hot Tips where she refined her skills under Master Nail Technician Debbie Tuggle. In 1995 D. Marie became a licensed Nail Technician in the state of NY. By 1997 D. Marie had gained a very large following leading to the opening of her very own nail salon Absolutely Nails by the end of the same year.

       In 2000 D. Marie embarked on a new journey adding Makeup Artistry to her resume which began with an accelerated course with the Bert Roth School of Makeup. In 2005-2006 D. Marie joined the MAC Cosmetics team as a freelancer. Her makeup career has expanded across print, tv, film, and fashion which lead her to be published in international magazines such as British Vogue, British GQ, and British Harper's Bazaar. 

     D. Marie is mom to Rayven aka "The Kid", a roller skater, and lover of all things culinary. Also, she is a professional published photographer in the Beauty and Fashion industry.
